Can a Christian be inspired by secular music?
So what do you think, what about music with or without profanity?
Who doesn’t get inspired by the theme song from Rocky?
There are some songs that make it seem that the song is to a person, but could be construed as God. You Raise me Up is one of the most inspirational songs I’ve heard. Wind Beneath My Wings is another example. Stories in song of heroism and love bring inspiration.
“What the World Needs Now Is Love” by Hal David and Burt Bacharach, sung by Dionne Warwick still inspires me.
Lose yourself from Eminem. We have to lose ourself, that’s when God can take over.
Yes, of course! Before I knew any non-secular music existed, early on in my walk with Him, I used to love to sing Chicago’s “You’re the Meaning in my Life” song to Him! Who says a love song has to be sung to people in face-to-face relationships only. Anything which brings you closer to Him is awesome! May He bless you and keep you in the center of His will for you and your life.
